Meet Dalia!

Dalia entered Utah's foster care system at 16 years old and aged out at 19 years old. During these four years, Dalia lived in a halfway home, a group home, foster homes and in independent living. Dalia completed her Associate of Science at Salt Lake Community College and is currently pursuing a bachelor's, with plans for a master's, in social work at the University of Utah. Dalia works as a scheduler for a preventative healthcare company.

Dalia hopes the 1999 Collective can create change and better resources for youth transitioning out of care and provide support for youth in care or already transitioned out. Dalia is part of the 1999 Collective because of her lived expertise and passion to create a better system for those in it.
